Floriane DE LASSEE's exhibition in BARNES Martyrs agency

Floriane DE LASSEE's exhibition in BARNES Martyrs agency

12th April – 16th June 2019

Born in 1977, Floriane De Lassee lives and works in Paris. After graduating from Penninghen-ESAG School of Art Direction and Interior Architecture (Paris) in 2000 then the International Center of Photography (NYC) in 2004, Floriane began a career as an artist/photographer.

Her series of nightscapes, “Inside Views 2004/2011”, presents a mysterious and melancholic view of women living in megacities. “Inside Views” was published as a monograph by Nazraeli Press in 2008. In 2012-2013, she toured the globe to bring fresh impetus to her work, resulting in two series: “Half the Sky” supplements her initial urban photographs but focuses on diverse female destinies; while “How Much Can You Carry” is a reflection on the loads carried in life; a publication by the same name was released in 2014 by Filigranes.

Since then, she has produced other works: “Ciels de Seine”, the mysterious “Trucks”, “ModernSati” studying the condition of young Indian widows, and female nudes placed against a light box in “Présences”. She is represented by Edelman gallery (Chicago) and the Laurence Boué agency (Paris).

An exhibition was held in the premises of the agency BARNES Martyrs from 12 April 2019 to 16 June 2019.
